Soybean protein fiber yarn
Soybean
Protein Fiber (SPF) is made by means of wet spinning
after extracting spherical protein from soybean
residue
with oil off biochemical and changing the space frame of
the protein by adding functional agent. It has been
praised locally and internationally by industry expert
as the "Healthy and Comfortable Fiber of 21 Century".
SPF uses soybean residue as raw materials that is
generally used as fodders has rich resources in China
and can be reused. So it won't rely on crude oil
resources. SPF is a kind of environment protecting
products, which do no harm to the environment,
atmosphere, water and human body during its process of
production SPF/cotton -Improve the comfort
feeling, moisture conductivity and draping of cotton
fabrics, increase the luster of fabrics and promote the
grade of cotton products.
We can spin pure soybean yarn
with different yarn counts blended soybean yarns mixed
with other fibers with many kind of the proportions. the
mixture of SPF with other natural fibers such as cotton,
wool, cashmere, and chemical fibers such as modified
polyester, viscose and tencel, modal, Bamboo fiber etc.
The dyeing Properties of Soybean Fibers
In general, soybean fibers can be dyed by common
acid, 1:2 metal complex and reactive dyes. The
advantages of reactive dyeing are their high fastness to
washing, but the dark dyeing are not easily obtained.
Soybean fibers are easily dyed to dark shades by common
acid and 1:2 metal complex dyes, but these dyed fibers
are
subjected to poor
fastness to washing. In practical dyeing, the dyes
should be selected according to the end-uses of fibers,
and dyeing fastness, cost and equipment.
The isoelecitic point of soybean fibers is 4 to 5
when soybean fibers are dyed by acid dyes, the PH value
should be usually adjusted to 4 with a buffer, and the
dyeing temperature is 90℃ to 98 ℃.At any time, it must
be noticed the dyeing temperature cannot be above 100℃.
According to the dyeing tests about reactive dyes
from Soochow University, Lanasol (Ciba) and Realan
(Dystar) dyes whiten often used for wool dyeing is not
suitable for the dyeing of soybean fibers. The dyes in
the following table are recommended:
Reactive dyes Manufacturers Reactive dyes Manufacturers
Cibacron LS 80℃ Remazol RR 60-65℃
Cibacron FN 60℃ Levafix CA 60℃
Everlight ED 60-65℃ Megafix B 60-65℃
These reactive dyes in this table exhibit fixation
behavior under the alkaline conditions and the
temperature described above. The recommended alkali is
soda ash; its amount is 2-5 g/L for pale shades, 6-10
g/L for medium shades, 11-15 g/L for dark shades and
15-20 g/L for specialty dark shades. The salt dose
depends on shade depth and liquor ratio.
